The prayer of the prophet Jeremiah is taken from Lamentations, chapter 5. It is sung during the Office of Tenebrae on Holy Saturday. This recording, of the prayer sung to Dominican chant, is from the Dominican priory in Oxford (Blackfriars) where Tenebrae is celebrated every year during the three days before Easter.
