Solemn Mass in the Gregorian Rite in the Cathedral of the Pope, the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran

Yesterday, the Superior of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, Fr Stefano Maria Manelli, celebrated Solemn Mass in the Cathedral of the Pope, the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, on the occasion of the Octocentennial of the Approbation of the Rule of St. Francis by Innocent III on 16 April 1209. This took place in the context of the Chapter of Mats, a Conference of the Ministers General of the First Order and the TOR of the Franciscans (Friars Minor, Conventuals, and Capuchins) to celebrate this Octocentennial. Here are some images of the Mass, by way of our friends at Rinascimento Sacro.
